Stiff / painful neck and referred arm pain

Stiff / painful neck and referred arm pain: Too flexible joints, tight neck muscles, and poor posture can lead to an imbalance in movement and block a facet joint. This in turn causes muscle spasms and the neck muscles to tighten up causing pain and reduced movement.

The physiotherapist tests the different tissue of the spine, eases the tension of the muscle with massage and maybe electrotherapy and brings back mobility with manual treatment and stretching.

We are pleased to announce that we are running courses of six Pilates classes at swissphysio on Thursdays starting on Thursday 24th April. Pilates is a form of exercise which focuses on the “core “or postural muscles. The slow and controlled movements help to strengthen the muscles which support the spine, which in turn keep the body balanced. Carried out correctly, Pilates can help to relieve back pain and improve abdominal muscle strength.
