Joanne Cuthell

Joanne Cuthell was born and grew up in South Africa. She suffered from server back problems, which did not allow her to continue in the career she had chosen. She decided to study the Alexander Technique, which brought her over to the UK in 1997. She completed her three-year training at the Brighton Alexander Technique Training Centre in 2000. She ran a private practise in Brighton while continuing her studies for two years in Craniosacral Therapy at the Karuna Institute and Naturopathy at The College of Naturopathic and Complementary Medicine.
Through her studies she was allowed to gain deep insight into her own healing process and having suffered in her own body this allowed a deeper understanding of her clients.

Joanne then returned to her homeland where she ran a successful private practise. Her practise in Craniosacral Therapy took her to further her knowledge in child development as she started to work with children with learning difficulties. She studied the development of the child according to Rudolph Steiner Education and children were referred from the school for Craniosacral Therapy.
Joanne then discovered that she had a calling to become a Sangoma, which is a Traditional African Healer, which she was initiated into in 2003 in Botswana. She has since run a practise facilitating those in whatever method is appropriate for their healing.

Joanne has now moved back to the UK to continue her work as an Alexander Technique Teacher. She enjoys running, yoga, swimming and she dances in the traditional African Sangoma Style. Joanne continues to reap the benefits of the Alexander Technique in her own life and her involvement in physical activities.

How can gentle movements help us to re-discover our body, to re- connect to it and ultimately enhance healing process and wellbeing.

For some of us this also means the usual “looking for ideas” for a present. SWISSPHYSIO has the solution for you: A basket full of wellbeing and health! And this at discounted price!

I’ve been asked by many people who followed the various sporting events this summer what the idea is behind the bright coloured strapping in different part on the athlete’s body. Is this just a new trend in the world of tennis, athletics, cycling or is this a really good thing? If you have been treated at swissphysio you have most likely experienced for yourself the amazing benefits of this “magic tape”. But there is no magic in KINESIO TEX TAPE. Just more than 20 years of research.
