How to get a restful sleep at night
We are well on our way to launching the new restful sleep sessions.
But everyone wants to know why sleep is such a problem. 1 in every 3 of us will experience some form of insomnia in a lifetime, and the numbers are rising. A main cause is the increased use of smart devices. Do you use your smart phone as your alarm? Play with it just before putting your head down?
Research has shown that the blue light emitted from these modern devices disturbs our internal clock. You are essentially causing yourself a terrible case of prolonged jet lag.
The best advice is investing in an alarm clock! If this isn’t going to happen, try and set your alarm at least 1 hour before you go to sleep then put down the electronic devices and switch off the TV.
Ideally relaxation is a better use of this hour if you have trouble sleeping. This can be tricky to master, but worth learning for that good night’s sleep.
