Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Psychotherapeutic Counselling as a way to explore yourself and grow

Here's what Ruby says:

I honestly believe that Psychotherapeutic Counselling is not only helpful if you are struggling with your feelings but also if you would like to explore how to improve your relationships, your communication style, your wellbeing or change your career or direction in life.

It gives you a wonderful opportunity to focus on you, where you are at and explore ways of feeling closer to your true potential.

Psychotherapy helps us connect to our feelings, explore them and understand our wants, needs and conflicts which are not always in our awareness.

I have found Psychotherapy to be invaluable for understanding ourselves, how we view ourselves and how we interact with our families, colleagues and in our relationships.

'You can still be who you might have been' -  T. S. Elliot

Why chose Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Within Psychotherapeutic Counselling you can identify areas of your life in which you feel uncertain or dissatisfied. We can look to setting therapeutic goals to explore areas you would like to change and explore how you would like things to be.

We develop patterns in how we feel, think and relate to other, patterns which can have many positive attributes as well as the ability to reinforce negative experiences. Within Psychotherapeutic Counselling Ruby can help you bring these patterns to your fuller awareness and work with you to reaching your goals in the changes you would like to make.

Often we have an understanding of changes we would like to take place but how we feel about ourselves, especially in stressful situations can stand in our way. In Psychotherapeutic Counselling Ruby can help you experience those feelings with more awareness, to identify how they could be impacting you.

It can feel tempting for some to try and find a way to keep managing problems on their own. This coping style is linked to burn out. Psychotherapeutic Counselling is for everybody at any stage in their life. If you think you could benefit from a little time to reflect on your feelings and what changes you would like to see in life, Ruby can offer you a warm welcome, a safe environment and a confidential service. You may gain many insights into yourself and what you want in life. Exploring problems within counselling can be a very positive and enjoyable experience.

What to expect in a session with Ruby

It can be difficult sometimes to know where to start in a counselling session. Ruby will listen to you and ask you which areas of what you tell her, might be areas you would like to explore. Ruby has worked with clients who have been very shy and nervous.

Within Psychotherapeutic Counselling you will be asked to set therapeutic goals to what you would like from the therapy. Perhaps you would like to explore trauma, grief, work dynamics, trust issues, anger issues, your relationship style, anxiety, social anxiety, addiction, self image or where you would like to see yourself whilst exploring how you see yourself now.

Ruby will work with you to explore the obstacles which may be standing in your way for improving your self confidence.

At Swissphysio you will find a warm, relaxed and friendly environment, in which you can also find a holistic approach to the wellbeing of the individual with therapies for the body and mind.

We aim to make your experience welcoming and comfortable, discreet and confidential.

We welcome you to try an introductory session to learn more about Psychotherapeutic Counselling, chat with me and ask Ruby any questions on what Psychotherapeutic Counselling can offer you, as well as get an idea of what Psychotherapeutic Counselling is like for you.
